Update Note

4w/3 App & L-sidebar(Memo, Widget List)

Hello, I'm Seungcheol Lee from SuitdiO.

Thank you for your continued feedback despite our service still having room for improvement. Following our last major update, this time we've significantly updated the left sidebar.

What's the difference between left and right sidebars? The left sidebar handles bringing internal/external materials into boards, while the right sidebar handles enhancing and utilizing boards. Various features faithful to these roles will continue to be updated.

Our Closed Beta Test on the 21st is just around the corner. Until then, I'll prepare various features to help users easily understand and use the service. See you again in 3 days! ๐Ÿ˜

APP ๐Ÿฅณ

  • Due to many complaints about web usage inconvenience, we quickly launched as a PWA (Progressive Web App)

  • Now focus on organizing thoughts in an independent space

Memo ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ

  • Were you inconvenienced by not having a space to jot down momentary ideas?

  • Now don't worry about where to writeโ€”just open memo and jot it down

  • Edit anytime and easily utilize with Drag&Drop

We plan to add voice and screen capture memo features in the future.

Widget List ๐Ÿ“š

  • If you were disappointed by only being able to load boards, now you can load widgets too

  • Don't wander around looking for desired widgetsโ€”use them directly with Drag&Drop

Improve ๐ŸŒฑ

Board Creation Now Reflects Without Refresh ๐Ÿ”„

  • Usability tests showed most errors occurred during refresh and back navigation processes

  • Completely improved board caching method to eliminate critical errors where widgets disappeared or changed positions

  • Added independent refresh buttons for each board and sidebar

Board Relationships Now Visible Within Boards ๐Ÿ’˜

  • Usability tests frequently showed users struggling to navigate despite creating good board structures

  • Now you can see parent/child boards at a glance and navigate easily

Error Pages Prepared โœ‹๐Ÿป

  • Were you confused by unresponsive buttons or buttons leading to error pages?

  • Added error pages to improve service completeness

  • Still insufficient, but we'll grow quickly

Added GA for CBT Preparation ๐ŸŽฏ

  • We can't rely solely on voices to solve customer inconveniences

  • SuitdiO will continue working to solve even hard-to-express detailed areas

Bug Fix ๐Ÿœ โ€ฆ

  • Fixed error where PDF and image files weren't saving

  • Modified unintuitive icons

  • Fixed comment input errors

  • Fixed internal widget system errors

We fixed various other bugs too. Going forward, we plan to only post critical bugs.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Closing Thoughts

While usability test recruitment has ended, we want to help those struggling with getting started through 1:1 onboarding. If you want to use the service well but find it difficult, please apply to easily understand the service and get pro tips!

We set a goal to complete 20 user tests in 3 weeks and have been running toward it. We've smoothly progressed with 14 people by today. We'll continue contacting those who applied by the 21st, so please wait a bit longer.

This week, I mainly met with students and prospective entrepreneurs. While I questioned whether they were our main target, they provided detailed feedback that greatly helped improve usability.

Frontend Web Developer, 30s, Female

  • Liked being able to easily utilize various features and AI, but wasn't easy to understand how to use the service

  • Would be good to have integration features with other services like Jira or Notion

AI Service Prospective Entrepreneur, 20s, Male

  • Liked being able to increase depth by creating board relationships

  • Was quite satisfied when planning with SuitdiO, though disappointed by bugs where widget positions moved

Computer Engineering Student, 20s, Male

  • Easy to adapt due to markdown support, and high widget placement freedom helped with thought organization

  • Service satisfaction dropped significantly due to bugs in Undo function

Biomedical Engineering Student, 20s, Male

  • Realized it was great after learning how to use it, but the learning hurdle was high before that

  • Agreed to provide feedback again after using it to organize class content for a week

I had an interesting experience during these tests. Until 2 weeks ago when there were many big and small errors, participants expressed satisfaction with features. Now that many errors are fixed, they express dissatisfaction with errors. I felt we've reached a point where the service is perceived as usable, where errors are no longer acceptable. I feel proud that we've grown so quickly.

Interview hell starts tomorrow... Over 3 days, I'll meet 6 new testers and revisit several previous participants. I'm already excited to show them our changes ใ…Žใ…Ž

Now I'm opening CBT testing to focus on more customer voices. SuitdiO will continue pushing forward.
